We are privileged to have played a pivotal role in the refurbishment of one of Belfast’s most historic landmarks. This distinguished building, with its rich heritage dating back to its construction between 1854 and 1857, stands proudly on the picturesque banks of the River Lagan.
At SMG, we undertook a comprehensive range of works to restore and enhance this architectural gem. Our expertise encompassed the construction of metal stud partitions, meticulous linings, elegant bulkheads, and the installation of MF (Metal Framing), suspended ceilings and tape and jointing. These elements were meticulously crafted to not only preserve the building’s original charm but also to meet the highest standards of modern functionality and design.
The restoration of such a significant and cherished structure required a profound understanding of its historical context and a meticulous approach to the construction process.
By collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, we were able to navigate the unique challenges posed by the refurbishment of this heritage site. Our commitment to preserving the building’s historical integrity while incorporating contemporary elements allowed us to strike a harmonious balance between the past and the present.
